Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission Panther Pulse Update reports on the first death and new births in 2017:

On January 12, 2017 a three month old male was discovered on CR832 five miles west of CR833. The kitten was struck and killed by a vehicle.

On January 18, 2017 the FWC documented two male kittens 2.5 weeks old in the Big Cypress National Preserve.
