Xanda son of Cecil killed by trophy hunter

On Thursday, July 20, 2017 Britain’s Telegraph newspaper reported Cecil the Lion’s son, Xanda, was killed by a trophy hunter in Zimbabwe. His death occurred near Hwange National Park, close to the site of his father’s 2015 killing. Researchers were monitoring Xanda, who was wearing an electronic collar at the time of his death.
