A full Senate debate and vote for the confirmation of the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture Nominee Sonny Perdue was scheduled by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. The debate will take place on Monday, April 24th with the vote proceeding at 5:30 p.m.

The move by McConnell put to rest any speculation a vote may have been held prior to the Senate’s two-week recess.
