Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Panther Update 07.14.17

On July 3rd the FWC reported the recovery of a 5 year old male panther. The panther was euthanized after it was struck by a vehicle on Immokalee Road, 2 miles east of Coller Boulevard in Collier County.

The total number of panther deaths kittens and adults in 2017 now stands at 16.

On June 22nd, the FWC documented a new litter of kittens: 2 males and 2 females belonging to Mom FP220; the kittens are approximately 12 days old.

Help with panther research by reporting sightings to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission

The FWC is interested in photos of panthers or their tracks. Anyone lucky enough to capture this large cat on camera is encouraged to submit the picture and sighting location to: MyFWC.com/PantherSightings.
